"Caribe Beach"

Photographed in Puerto Rico in November of 2004. The Caribe Hilton, not far from the forts Old San Juan, is one of the best known of the island's classic hotels, and it takes the credit for inventing the Pina Colada in the 1950s. Its beach today suggests just what one expects of a tropical paradise, with its long, curved row of palm trees and the blue of the water beyond.
