Photographed in Massachusetts in May of 2005. The story of the Mayflower and its Pilgrim passengers has a place at the core of American history and folklore, as does the legendary landing at Plymouth Rock. Although the original ship was later scrapped in England, 20th-Century history-lovers fashioned a full-scale reconstruction, moored today in Plymouth Harbor and complemented with crew and interpreters playing the roles of the original settlers.
